    Default 250EXT Boat/Container

Did the container with the pre-ordered 250EXT's show up on schedule?

Is there any literature on the new units yet?

    Thanks for the update.

One of our tigs has been acting up, HF is good, but sometimes no main amperage. Hope to get the new one before the old gives out completly.

OK, my 225lx foot pedal died over the weekend, it will make high freq, but no main amperage, the finger trigger still works. How long until the new units ship???

    Todd,
Likely its not a foot pedal issue itself. The EXT will come with the same foot pedal, unless you choose to upgrade the pedals to the new US style, which I highly recommend. The units will ship in the next 2 or 3 days if all goes as planned.

Do you think its a problem with the welder, not the pedal? Something I can fix, or does it have to go in for repairs???

When I ordered the EXT I was told it would NOT be the same pedal as the LX, I also upgraded to a 25' #17 gas cooled torch. Could you check to make sure this is correct? Order #59633370

I tried another pedal, still no main amperage. What's the fix?

That's why you should call in to tech support to go through phone diagnosis first...Can't answer exactly until we know more.

    Well,
as far as the foot pedal, UNLESS you specifically ordered a US pedal at 149.00 plus shipping, it will be the same as the newer lower profile Chinese pedals. We had an issue with the final pedal design from the factory so we worked in the existing pedal. As far as the torch, not sure that the 17 is an upgrade...especially since the unit comes with a WP 20 torch.(supposed to anyway) and the 17 is only a 150 amp torch and the 20 is 250+ amp rated. No, I cannot check. I don't have access to the order.

Unless it is an Everlast pedal (and 47k ohm) it won't work and will DAMAGE the unit. If you have tried it previously with an incompatable pedal, then that could be the problem. But as I have said, CALL in. I can't be more simple and clear as to the remedy here.

Mark, I called in and the 225lx needs to go in for repairs. The 2nd foot pedal was from everlast as a replacement for the original, this has been happening on and off since new, but it finally quit working completely. When the pedal is pressed the amp meter goes to 351 and stays there.

I also have a call in to sales to confirm the upgrades on the order.

For me the 17 torch is an upgrade, 150 amps for my DC work is fine, and the hose/torch is very light and flexible. I will use the 20 with coolant for AC, or when I need more amperage.

Does the EXT come with the European style EP-20 torch or the Weld-Craft style WP-20 torch?

15ft. You pay for entire torch...not upgrade in traditional sense.

You're buying an additional complete torch that's 25' long, so you'll have the one that comes standard plus the 25'.
