    Default Power Plasma 60C

Are the Power Plasma 60C or larger CNC plasma cutters 3-phase only? Can they be run off a rotary phase converter ( mine is 20 HP )? Will there be larger single phase CNC plasma units in the future? I'm using a 60 amp Hypertherm now and it is fine for piercing up to 3/8 on the CNC table, but I'm thinking more power would be nice for piercing heavier stuff.

I have a PP80 it is single or 3 phase, generaly speaking the breaker on single phase is 10 amps less than the out put, ie: 80 amp plasma = 70 amp breaker. etc.3 phase the amp draw is less.
Some of those lies people tell about me, are true

Thanks Geezer, but I am looking for info on the CNC units, with the modified high frequency.

The one late model 60c that I observed was single phase only.

    Geezer,
Canadian units are differently wired on the Plasma cutters...Difference in specifications and customer demand in that respect.
