I came back to edit this because I was just reading and wanted to see if I wired it wrong. My wires coming out of the PowerTig are below
Ok I got the NEMA 30/50 amp 4 prong with a 30 amp breaker on my new PowerTig 200LX. I used 4 prong so I can also plug my ovens in the receptacle for powdercoating/heat
Wall plug PowerTig200LX
Green--------->Ground
White---------->White
Black----------> Black
Red------------>No red wire on the Powertig
I power up the machine and the Apms max out to 150 in TIG mode and 118 amps in ARC mode .
I thought it was supposed to go to 200 and 160?? Is it because of the 30 amp breaker??
I have not welded with it I just finished wiring it up and powered it on. It is 2:30 in the morning but I was anxious to finally wire it in like a tree at christmas ...so ya know.
