    Default powercool coolant

hello fellow welders!! I just bought the 250ex and the powercool cooler. does anybody know what the recommended coolant should be? I am currently using rv antifreeze.

  2. Default

RV af is cool. You can also use distilled water as long as it is not allowed to freeze. The water may grow algae or other gunk, so you might have to change it out every so often. Also possible is using the somewhat expensive coolant marketed for tig coolers.

  3. Default

Go to wallchart and get RV antifreeze it is distilled water with low freeze point much cheaper than the welding shop

will take 2 gal with som left over by the time the line fill. This stuff is safe to drink so if it get on you will not harm you
