While its rated for 60 amps, amps are not all there is to cutting. It'll do a competent job on cutting most materials you'd come across every day, but it is NOT a production machine. That, we have made clear repeatedly.
Where has this been made clear ?

Its for portable repair, and for basic maintenance. It works fine, and the TIG is the strong point of the unit...and the plasma is in the support role, with many fine assists to win the game...but its not a game carrying player.
This is the first I've heard of this.

None of the Multi-Process units are suitable for efficient CNC applications . Due to the speed and time for many CNC applications you need both power and time for operating correctly. Having the limited Duty Cycle is detrimental to many CNC plasma applications
In fact for 2012 the CNC Port will be eliminated on al the multi units and will on be available on Plasma Cutters.
When adding it this year we thought that perhaps it might be good for the occasional limited use on smaller guage materials. The potential problem is that we can concievably have a Customer purchase board from inside.
