Yes, red is the standard lead color now.

I ordered my torch setup like you pictured. Did you order a new quick connect or cut the old one out of the original torch hose

I have a CK "trimline" 200 amp 100% duty cycle aircooled torch I use for everything, with the one piece superflex hose, flex neck, and it's great. It's like your torch's older brother.
This looks like the ideal set up to me! Does the torch parts that come with the everlast fit this torch or did you order the consumables kit with the torch ? Same dinse connector as the op? Thanks in advanced

The TL210 takes industry standard #17/#18 components, but CK torches do require a teflon insulator that is unique/proprietary (can't swap teflon insulators from other torch brands onto a CK torch.)

Coverage of my CK "Trimline 210" (TL210) TIG torch purchase and installation can be found buried a few pages into in the "TIG torch overheating? (Super200P WP17)" thread. Here are the relevant posts in that thread for you perusal:

My Super200P also supports a different, metric "inert arc" torch fitting that the newer IGBT everlast machines do not support, so I used a different style of adapter for it than one would need for an IGBT machine. However, since the TL-210 comes with 5/8-18, "inert arc, size B" fitting/threads on it, it would seem that this (CK-SL5-35) DINSE adapter might be the one necessary to adapt the TL-210 for an IGBT machine:
    http://www.arc-zone.com/index.php?ma...oducts_id=9100

I like the "stubby" collet body from CK that adapts the #9/20 gas lens cups onto the #17/18 torch (and similar are also available from weldcraft), however one should be aware that they can't handle quite the power and duty cycle as the "full length" #17/18 components can. (I destroyed one from one too many thick aluminum projects on pure argon: the last project of the 3/32" stubby collet body. I think I still have the broken stubby collet body; I should take a picture of it and post it in that thread.)

I also added a torch switch and expandable sleeving to it in this thread:

Thanks jakeru I appriciate your detailed response!!! I think if manage to get myself one of the things I will be doing the trimline 200a flex with the better cable as you have seems like the way to go!
Now to just decide on a tig ! For me with the sale on the 225lx right now it's between that and the pp256 it's a lot more than the 225 but the plasma would be a nice add on.

Zoama do you know the ID of the gas hose you trimmed down? I think I found the male plug I need but have to get the right barb end 4mm, 6mm or 9mm. I am thinking it should be the 6mm but wanted to check to see if you knew.

6mm will work but 5mm is the correct size for 3/16 hose... you'll need to put a little soapy water on the barb to push it in.
When ordering a CK safe-loc dinse add LG to end of the part number for plug and play with everlast.
Eample: CK-SL2-35-LG is the 150amp large dinse with an 18" gas hose and male QC for everlast machines. Tell your vendor to order it from CK, they definitely have it.

Zoama thanks again. I hope arc-zone can order that part for me as locally the prices are too high. If not I think I found the male fitting just have to measure the on on my torch to be sure.

The CK fitting has a collar that threads up over the barb to retain the hose.
When you place an order with arczone, they place the order with CK. arczone could have CK drop ship your order but they just won't do it (CK is willing, arczone is not). Name: Shakes Head.gif

    You could look elsewhere...

That came from the owner trying to BS me over and over. I can deal with problems or delays but I can't deal with lies... especially elaborate ones that make no sense.

I saw Zoama's comment regarding arc-zone's customer service so I tried weldfablous but the torch I want is not on their price list so they can't help me. I even told them that I got the part number straight from CK. If you know another online retailer let me know. I am interested in the CK Flex Loc 130A with 25' 2-piece cables CL part #CK FL1325NSF, but its pricey so I may go with the flex torch with the same cable setup.

If you can't find a dealer that you're happy with, contact Sjon Delmore @ Sjon@ckworldwide.com and tell him you'd like to buy direct from CK. I think he can help you.

Why the 2 piece cable ?

Ha..... I'm glad you asked that question because I thought that I needed a 2-piece. I went back to your original post and realized that you ordered a one-piece. I just thought that there was a typo (N/H 2/1-piece) in your original post. So are the 2-piece set-ups for water?

I believe two piece cables are use where the welder doesn't have a gas solenoid... the extra hose goes straight to the flow meter or regulator. Click image for larger version.

That’s where my confusion came from as I thought that the gas flowed thru the dinse connector making it a 1-piece. So I guess that both setups will work but the 1-piece is the way to go. The diagram below is better I think.

Weldfabulous does have the torch I am looking for and its about $50 cheaper than arc-zone and the best part is they ship USPS.

Through dinse = power and gas come from the female dinse connector... in other words, the post on the male side has a hole in the end.

I highly recomend getting a couple CK wedge collets when you order.
