    Pulse has an off button..at least on the newest models. Though Pulse should be off when pulse volts are equal(or fully left??hmm got to think on that one).

    I said "PULSE"...Not saying it wouldn't weld, but that the 205 didn't have the umphh to cross over to spray in steel...particularly with flux core. That is why.

    To setup the machine for pulse you turn the base voltage all the way down (left) and set the pulse volts to whatever you want on the display, then set your base volts to whatever you want above the pulse. Thats the only way to see what the pulse is set at.
    On the older machine where there's no pulse off switch, setting pulse volts equal to base volts would result in no pulse effectively turning the pulse off.
    I guess you could setup the pulse either way, above or below the base volts but either way if pulse volts equal base volts there is no pulse.
