Everlast Ebay vs Everlast direct sales

Why are some items way cheaper through everlast's ebay store when everlast has to pay ebay fees in addition to selling at a lower price ?
Especially when you waited a week and a half cause someone forgot your order and you're purchasing two of them because one wasn't included with your machine and you want a spare on hand.

Example...

Argon regulator @everlast ebay $24+9.98 shipping total $33.98 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Argon-CO2-fl...4&cmd=ViewItem

Argon regulator @everlast direct sales $40 shipped. Lists for $49.99 http://www.everlastgenerators.com/Replace-parts.php

Must every transaction be haggled ?

I am not in Everlast Sales or Marketing, but one thing I could think of. If we offer a super deal on ebay, only costing us on 1 item or a few, it can bring a lot of traffic over from ebay to learn about Everlast and our products.

If someone has an issue, Everlast will normally match a price or make it right in some way like all good retailers. Sounds like we took care of you and all is good.
