Default Any way to change the view of a thread from oldest (original) post to newest?

I participate in a few different forums, and every other one displays the oldest post first, and so on. This is comfortable for most people since they are used to reading in chronological order, and its really good if you are exploring a new forum since you get the original post that started the thread first.

Is there an option to do this here?

    Cheers,

    Mike

Forum Actions, General Settings, then go down to Thread Display Mode and change it.

It is the default from the makers of the software. How did you set yours? We get few, but some complaints. So I assume others might like it.

I usually read my forums in chronological order, because when you go to a new thread, you want to see what started the whole discussion. That seems to occur more often than the other way, joining an existing thread. Also, if you participate in multiple boards like I do, you want some consistency... ! :-)

It is definitely that way in most other forums. I am on over 20 forums, and only one other time was the order going from newest to oldest. I would have guessed that oldest first was the default. That was the first setting I changed upon joining this forum.
