I'm putting a Brass bushing into a steel tube.
The Brass bushing is flanged so it will butt up to the outer edge of the Steel tubing. There will be a Stainless rod running throught the bushing and I do not want the Brass to rotate in the tube.

Has any of you ever used a TIG torch to braze Brass to Steel?
I just read that you use a silcone Bronze filler rod to do it. I have never Brazed anything so I'm wondering how different it is from welding? Is it basically controlled melting?

I would guess I work the Steel first to get it hot enough to melt then put some heat on the Brass?
