    Default Gas solenoid leakage

I've noticed my gas consumption seems high with my new EXT, so I stared looking for leaks. I found that if I disconnect the hose from the welder and hold my thumb over the end and shut off the tanks, the pressure holds, if I hook it back to the welder and close the tanks, the pressure drops to zero in about 10 seconds.

Are these solenoids repairable or adjustable?

Does it need to be replaced?

Solenoid needs to be cleaned. Something may have shot down into the solenoid from the fitting and lodged on the valve seat. Yes, they are serviceable.

...talks about a DIY fix for a similar sounding problem. You may want to talk directly with tech support first, though, because they've done it before and will ask the right questions that may pertain to your machine and setup.

Have you used any snoop (soapy water) on the hose fitting to the hose barb see if it is leaking? How tight was the hose on the hose barb and do you have a hose clamp? I had the same thing on my EXT but my hose clamp was not on tight enough.

I checked and no external leak.

I'm using the small orange/blue hose, did you?

The blue end pushes on the welder very nice, the regulator end was a fitting I have never seen before, but I had a fitting from another project that worked ( 1/4 male pipe x 1/8 pushlock ). I tied into my old twinflow regulator

Did you figure out where the leak is yet? The first couple of times I shut the bottle off, I noticed it always held pressure overnight, now it drains down in pretty short order. I just haven't had time to go chasing it down yet.
