Nothing too fancy and sorry for the crappy cell phone picture.
These are new shackle mounts for my CJ7 I welded up with my powerultra 205. Stck welded with 3/32" 6011 at around 80 amps. I love how this little machine lays down a bead.

They look good. How are you going to finist them, paint, powder coat?

If you power coat, make sure you fill the holes. Grinding that out is a pain.

It's will be lucky to see Rustoleum. The group that I wheel with try to build capable low budget rigs. We don't place a lot of value on beauty. We build them to use in the woods, quarries, dunes or wherever we can find a challenge. While I can appreciate somebody elses waxed and shined jeep, it's not for me. When I get the chassis done I will prime it and spray a coat of Tractor Supply black on it. The body will likey be painted with a roller. Besides I don't know anywhere that does custom powder coating.
If anyones interested I will post updated pics as the build progresses. My next project is to build outboard mounting points for the front spring hangers. Progress will slow soon as I drive propane truck for a living and busy season is soon approaching.
I bought a gallon from TSC on Sunday. It was on clearance for 19.99. Valspar.
Black equipment enamel.
