PU 205 Plug Install Question

Hi Everyone,
I just received my PowerUltra 205 and have a quick question about plug installation. My garage is not going to be wired for 220 until a month or so. Can I install a 110v plug 'til then? It's a dual voltage 220/110 machine. Thanks in advance.

If it's dual voltage then Yes....Just make sure you wire it correctly.

Actually, I just looked at the manual and I did not see that it is dual voltage? Make certain it is before you do anything!

Thanks for the reply. Yes it's definitely dual. I checked, double checked and re-checked before & after the purchase. Alex also assured me on the phone. I'll give it a shot this week. I'm dyin' to play with this thing! Thanks again.

Well if you know for sure then I say hook that sucker up to 110 and get to welding!!

Typical 120V outlets are limited to 15/20 amps while 240V outlets can be up to 60 amps. So, you should wire the PU205 with the 240V connection type you will install in the future and them make short 240V/120V pigtail (extension cord) to run off 120V. This will ensure you will never overload the 120 connection pints and create a potential fire hazard.
