Thread: cutting at an angle

  1. Default cutting at an angle

i have a PP60 with the 80 type torch ? not sure it has a red handle...
    anyways...
cutting 1/4" mild steel .. the cuts are cutting down at an angle ... the flame is not shooting straight... just started doing this...
could it be my consumable ? i changed it out lately... hopefully i put it back right...

running it on about 40 on the setting and 60psi on air...
no water in the lines , 2 water traps , one on compressor one on plasma

like mention , havnt had this before... just started doing this....

    thanks

Sounds like you need to change the consumables.

yeah, i changed the consumables once... did it again ... had the same problem...
so i turned up the Heat/Amps to 50 , and air down slightly .. and it seemed to have cut alot better.....
now im confused.... cause i found the right settings when i first got it .. and wrote it down on the machine and kept it same... now i have to add more power to get the samething... hoping my machine isnt going out ....

I ordered some consumables with 1.1mm tips http://www.ebay.com/itm/400088136952...84.m1423.l2649 I'll have them tomorrow. They should cut a little cleaner than what came with the P80 torch.

Hey Mat, have not heard from you for some time. Happy New Year.

Quick thing would be swap out the two consumables out and run the amps up to 50. But sounds like you have everything set correctly.

If that doesn't do it, give us a call 877-755-9353.
