Thread: Foot pedal adjustment knob

    Default Foot pedal adjustment knob

I have the 200DX and want to see if anyone can advise the proper operation/setting of the foot pedal knob? there are no markings on it. while looking at the digital readout on the machine, it seems like it zeros out around the center setting of the foot pedal knob rotation. what relation does the knob rotation have to the amps output at the torch?

You can put the machine in stick mode and press the pedal to get an idea of amperage but I have found that reading to be a bit low to what its actually putting out. The actual amps will show while welding so maybe have a friend watch the display while welding and make some indicator marks on the pedal housing for reference.

I hold my torch over a piece of scrap and hit the pedal while watching the panel to set mine.

DON'T put it in stick mode. Sport bike is correct. The numbers will eventually give you an accurate idea where the pedal is set for maximum amps.
