    Default tig torch gas nozzle

    is there a general rule of thumb for the gas nozzle size to use with the tungsten electrodes?

    What are you trying to weld?

    mild steel and chrome-moly tubing and just general mild steel flat stock.

    Sorry for the delay in answering, I didn't see reply to post until now.

    If you are using chrome moly tubing, then I'd guess your needing to get into tight places with it. I'd say use a number 6 with a 3/32 electrode. Number 5 with a 1/16.
