Default PT200DX how long is the 220V powercord?

Hey all, I have a PT200dx being shipped. Should be here on the 10th. I'm curious to know the length of the power cord, the one that plugs into the wall outlet. I want to wire and mount my 50 amp outlet but depending on the length of the cord determines where its gonna be. I want to be ready when it gets here. Thanx

    Should be about 6 foot.

If all you are going to power is teh 200DX, you don't really need a 50 amp outlet.

I was going to re-do teh power out to my garage until I measured the current for my 200dx....now I just run a 10awg SOW extension cord from my dryer plug in my basement out to the garage....I believe it is abotu 110-120ft of 10AWG and it doesn't even get warm. I have yet to tip a breaker (30A) and cannot detect any temperature change (by hand) on the cord.

I know it sounds odd, but that is all it takes. You could just use a 10awg extension cord and cut off the ends to run teh welder wherever you want.

by the way, I have a full 240V (242 actually) which does help a bit on the current requirement.

Have you maxed out your welder for any length of time with that cord? I guess being these are inverter based they're a lot easier on the juice. This will be my first inverter and first tig.

I wired my outlet with #10 wire and a 30amp plug as well as a 30 amp breaker, have had no issues whatsoever.

My outlet in the garage is a 50 amp along with a 50 amp breaker, the outlet Im wiring now is for the basement but I need to use the same plug so Im going with a 50, also I have left over 6 gauge wire to wire it, just not a lot , thats the reason I was curios how long the cord was. If I ever decide to upgrade the welder It'll be plenty.
