    Default why does my post have to be approved by a moderator on certain threads?

    i usually have no problem posting on threads, but today i tried posting to a particular thread, and got a message that the moderator has to approve my post before it will show up. What is going on here? Why would a post that merely asked for an update on an issue need approval before showing on the thread?
