Default up in smoke PU 205p

First of all I tried contacting Alex with Pm's and phone calls and no responce. so hopefuly i can get some answers here.

I ordered a pu205p welder on the 27th of dec. received it on the 3rd tues. waited till the weekend to try it out. finally sunday i got it all plugged in and turned it on. first thing i tried was the plasma (didn't have any stick rods nor do i have a argon tank yet) and it worked great. left it at that.
well the next day i picked up some stick rods to try out the stick welder, plugged everything in (the groung clamp and the stick gun) and went to turn on the machine and it blew up and smoke came out from the side vents..
please I need this to be resolved....

Did you talk with tech support first? That is the first step. Did you use black and white wires for hot? Or did you have it wired for 110V?

I tried to contact ray at tech with no responce. And yes it is wired 220v. My garage is already wired 220 with 20 amp breakers and yes black and white are 110 each.
I need this welder repaired a.s.a.p. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Ok. He should be able to give a return call within 24 hours. Be sure to leave a complete message, and repeat your phone number. A surprising number of guys call and leave a message, quickly saying the number one time and its near if not impossible to make out. I am not sure, since I didn't hear the message you left...Just trying to be helpful.
But, also from your statement, I know that a 20 amp breaker is not sufficient for this unit. It pulls much more than that. Though, I doubt this was the cause.

Give me a call if you want. I can try to help out. Also you can send an email and I'll try to help you as soon as possible.
