So, I'll admit it, as well as being an Everlast junkie, I'm a Jody junkie. His latest video hit my inbox this morning, and in typical (for me) fashoin, I dropped everything and tuned it in. He's using the PP256, 150-ish amps, no pedal just the torch switch in 2T mode, no gas lens, nothing exotic. Beautiful welds, as is the norm for him. His videos continue to improve in quality, especially the arc shots. In this segment, he gives us some real-world, real-time shots of what a 2 second downslope looks like, and explains the effect it has on the weld (no crater at the end). Keep in mind that this guy welds for a LIVING, and has other options as far as brand/model of welder to use, and in this case he chose the Everlast PP256, and it performed perfectly. Goes to further prove that Everlast is up to the task, whatever that may be. I feel this video is the best real-world depiction of downslope utilization that I've seen to date.
