The 255ext will not be available to the public for some time yet and when it is made available there will be no issues what so ever with it. I am not even going to give a time frame for the expected release as it is still some time away and having rumours floating around helps no one .
However showing the updated look of units currently in production and due to arrive in the next few weeks is a different matter. Here is the 200 DX

  2. Default 185 dual voltage

Apart from the added Stick feature to the 185 we have done a couple of smaller changes ,amongst these is the heavy duty HF Points as can be seen in the picture . In addition for 2013 all dual voltage units will also have the 110v - 220v adapter pig tail.
    Cheers

Not sure if this link works but it is a commercial for a new restaurant that has me in it. The restaurant is owned by the factory owners wife. A charming lady.

So I take it that also means the units will now ship with a NEMA 6-50 plug installed from the factory? That will be nice.

Ok, but Oleg promised March to all the old 250EXT owners whom are moving to a 255EXT, so a date has been stated. To also say there will be no issues whatsoever is a bold promise on a brand new machine. I suspect the 255EXT is from a different factory, because I would not be backing a product up so strongly if I was sourcing the machine from the same guys who built the 250EXT. I hope that everything does work out as planned though, it looks like an awesome welder! I would be taking a cautious approach, and instead of opening it up for general availability, I would use the pool of 250EXT owners as a way of vetting the welder even after it passes all internal tests before I put it for general sale.

    Cheers,

    Mike

Sportbike you got it right I was trying on the Halloween costumes at the time.

Mike j I do not discuss plans or details for any models to the general forum . Any Forum member is welcome to speculate on what ever they please but keep in mind it is after all just guessing and very little fact. As for plans for R&D we have our own ideas on this.

I will not push anything out because costumers want it, we did that and didn't work out well. Acdc digital out in EU and doing fine, once we feel comfortable will start selling in USA. Since there is a Chinese New Year coming up and whole china will be shutdown it will push ext little out.

I like the new look and the cover to keep knobs from being bumped. The front mounted pressure gauge is great. Is the regulator still rear mounted, so it can be easily bypassed for TIG? Decisions, decisions. Just when I think I know what I want, you do something to swing the balance. I know I could take the easy way out and get one of each, like Kempy says.

I can't wait to see some pictures and updates on the 250mts. That will be a killer unit.

???The 250MTS has been out for several months now, and the web page is up and the brochures are updated, and the manual is even out.

... which allows you to determine length of cords, etc. You may even have spare parts in your inventory.

I could absolutely make one, and I was planning on it, except I really like the in-molded plugs and how clean it makes it all look. I do like your point about the ability to select how long you want the cord if you make your own, though.

I may even, in the future, source an in-molded plug/cord to replace the one on my welder (and for the Everlast welders I would like to purchase eventually ), especially if it's not terribly expensive.

Even zero, if you want. Although I did go the other direction as it suits my needs better.
