Default New PowerARC 160 STH specs?

Hello, scanning the product listings, I noticed they just posted new information regarding the 160 STH stick machine, to include that it has HF start TIG as well as being dual voltage. Is this accurate? When will these be available? S/F....Ken M

The U.S will have them sometime around the first or possible the second week of March. There will be both 110V/ 220V and straight 220v being used today at the Open house ( the straight 220v units will not be a option in the future as they will all be dual voltage ) . The maximum output in TIG mode in 110v is 102 amps ,the output would be a little higher if i had tested using 120v and i might just possibly do this on the dual voltage units in the next few weeks if i have the time. . The package comes in a black carry case similar to that of the 140ST. The start amps is 5 amps . In fact i just sold a unit to a Sign maker ( lot of stainles steel work ) as a portable repair unit and the selling feature was the low amp capability.
So i would have to say it is accurate.
    Cheers

Do they have a control ability, or are they hot all the time?

The unit has foot pedal capability, and has a 2T torch switch function to start and hold the arc. This makes it hot only when the foot pedal is pressed or the switch is held.

That sounds like a steal! Makes me wish I didn't have those bases covered.

Thank you for the information. Looks like it will be a very good niche to be in.
