PowerTIG 185 Micro Dual Voltage??

I know it's been awhile that I posted. I have been waiting patiently for the dual voltage version to come out and just wondering if any of the guys that have it how well is it holding up and what's involved to change 110V to 220V and back again? Thanx!

Simply change out the plug on the end. Or create a pigtail adapter as Ken mentioned. I'd suggest using a twist lock actually and use two pig tails one for 120, another for a nema 6-50 240.

I use a twist lock plug and outlet for my 240V operation.

I do the same for my 200DX. didn't see the need for a 6-50 plug on a 30A circuit.

Excellent suggestion on the twist lock to swap between the two voltage sources. Interesting to see the units have the capability to sense voltages and switches between the two automatically. Just curious why engineering went with this route instead of a manual switch?

People forget to switch a manual switch. Nothing like plugging in a unit with it switched to 120V and putting a full 240 to it. Either having to swap a plug or change one out prevents this costly mistake.
