Thread: Set up questions on pp80

  1. Default Set up questions on pp80

Hello to all. I am trying to set up my new pp80, and am not at all liking the plastic airline set up with the machine. It may have been on another site, but i read some posts on replacing the line with something using more typical connectors than the push ons. The filter end is easy...1/4 npt, but the machine end has me scratching my head. The push in fitting does not seem to come out. the outside threads have me stumped as to what size they are. looks too little for 1/2, too big to be 3/8 npt. any suggestions appreciated.

    Bigjoe,

I am not sure what part you are looking for. The push in connectors are very good overall, much better than the former hose barb connectors. No the push in fitting should not come out. They are metric threaded. Do not change them out, or you will affect your warranty on that portion of your unit, since they screw into the solenoid. The plastic air line is far superior to the old style, and much more responsive. If the line is inserted properly, it shouldn't give any problems. You may need to make sure the plastic line is cut square before you push them in, but other than that it should work.
