Default 1996 Camaro SS make over

Here are a few pictures of my 96.
Stock it is a 350, six speed T-top car with just under 20,000 actual miles on it.
The 350 motor is coming out and going to be replaced with a naturally aspirated 383 putting a little over 500 hp to the flywheel. The bottom end of the motor is built to be safe to over 700 hp so that there is room to add a Pro Charger blower later.
The rear end is being changed to a 9” Ford fabricated housing that I had shortened 3” per side to fit deeper dished rims. And will include going from a pan hard bar to a Watts link style rear suspension.
Sub frame connectors will be welded on to keep the body straight.
Brakes will be upgraded to larger Wilwood rotors with six piston front and four piston rear calipers.
I will be welding a custom stainless exhaust and am looking at doing a center mount style.

Do you have a lift in your garage? I have one in mine and it is the best thing I have ever done. I love it no more working on my back.

Yes, I put that in last year as crawling underneath just isn't fun anymore.
I own a few company pick ups and when I look at what it costs me to pay some one to drive the trucks back and forth to a quick lube place and pay for the oil change too it adds up quick.
I figured it out and can pay for the lift in two or three years of just doing oil changes my self. How is that for justification to buy a new tool.

    Thank you
Yep I am thinking it should be a whole different car after this.
I left some room in the engine for the super charger as it will probably feel slower after a season or two.

That looks like a sweet build you got going on. I almost owned a 96 Z28 camaro back on 2009. She leaked oil like it was going out of style and my dad vetoed the idea. Its very possible I would of been going down the same road you are going down. I must say that I would give my right nut to have a 2 post lift in my shop. They are worth their weight in gold!

Im assuming that you are going to fuel inject it. What type of controller are you going to use?

If you have the room for a lift you can find one cheap if you look around. Beautiful car and motor by the way.

I'm waiting for the community college I attended to sell their lifts. I'll keep it in stored some were until I have a big enough place to use it.

Yes, I also am using the EFI Connection set up so that it will run with the coil packs and computer from an LS1 engine as it will be getting boosted later and the newer computer is easier to program for boost.
