Cheers. I have a Synchrowave 180 and do mostly AL. Good machine but at 55A input with 60A mains doesn't always work. I hate magnitizing current, another reason at looking at inverters and the idea of a little more power like an EX250 is peaking my interest with it's options...so I will continue to read.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I have had my 250 ex for a couple of years and am still new to welding but getting better. I like the machine it has been flawless in its performance the only thing I needed to adjust was the points a few weeks ago as it was giving me and arc start problem but now it is back to instant HF starts.

The 250EX is a nice TIG. I own a 225LX and 250EX. Like them both the same. Used the LX only for years.
