Buying or Shipping From AirGas

I remeber seeing Oleg post some stuff up on ww about being able to buy and handle warranty work through local airgas shops. Is this still the case? Really looking to pick up a good tig unit and having a local "face to face" method of sales would seal the deal for me.(I know, a bit silly but old habits die hard.) Was also hoping doing so could help grease the wheels for an argon tank/ "giant bag o bits" purchase at the same shop. Some of the gear I inherited from the goddard internship is a little worse for wear.
