Default Mean Green Spring Contest March 16 -June15 (11:59 pm)

Mean Green Spring Contest from Everlast USA:
    March 16-June15 2012 11:59 pm.

    The Contest:

Once again, it's time to crank up the contest. Spring is in the air for most of us, and the time for getting around to those projects we've been dreaming of all winter is upon us. LET'S ATTACK THOSE PROJECTS LIKE A BUNCH OF MAD MEN AND WOMEN!

Of course, we will have the usual posting requirement. This time for the 3 month period you will need 100 posts to qualify for entry and will count as 1 entry. Project posts can count toward the 100 posts.
This time we are looking for Projects based in categories, each good for an entry. Only one project per category though to keep it fair, but a project in each category will each count as an entry, good for a total of 5 entries. Choose a possible maximum 5 of 7 categories. Please use at least 5 photos with a description of the process, materials used, dimensions, or special challenges encountered.
We are looking for qualifying NEW, previously unpublished projects in the following categories:
    1) Welding Carts
    2) Welding Tables
    3) Custom Automotive on/off road Welding: i.e. exhaust systems, frames, buggies etc.
    4) Custom welded Shop tools and improvements: i.e. overhead lifts, stairs, presses, or anything used to help out around the shop.
    5) Decorative Metal Art.
    6) General Welding repair
    7) Barbeque Grills/Cookers

In the title of each project follow the following form:

Project 1 from Performance. Category: Welding Cart

Additionally, we are offering bonus entries that allow people to compete, that don't have a welder, or projects in the works as well. All are invited to participate in this aspect as well. These involving "sharing" us with your fellow friends on social media.
You can gain additional entries, for a total of 5 entries by doing the following, each counting as one entry.
    1) Sharing at least 5 items/articles/blogs via facebook or Twitter from our related sites during the length of the contest. No more than one per week. (5 entries)
    2) Like us on Facebook/follow us on twitter (1 entry)

This will allow a grand total of 12 entries.

    The PRIZE:

Spring Everlast Green bucks good toward the purchase of a product of their choice:
1st prize 1500.00 of Everlast Greenbucks
2nd prize 750.00 of Everlast Green bucks
3rd prize 250.00 of Everlast Green bucks
All the rest of the people who meet the 100 post mark will receive a 25% discount on their next purchase. These are not to be used (stackable) with previous contests or discounts. One discount per purchase will be allowed.

AS ALWAYS SPAMMING IS STRONGLY DISCOURAGED. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE COMMENTS WITHOUT SUBSTANCE. NO "GOOD JOB" OR "COOL PROJECT" SINGLE COMMENT POSTS PLEASE!
ALSO, POSTS THAT ARE DELETED (AND THEY WILL BE) BECAUSE OF IRRELEVANCE, OFF TOPIC, OR INSULTING CONTENT WILL NOT BE COUNTED. SO PLEASE KEEP IT CLEAN AND ON POINT.

    Summary:
    Total of 12 entries:
100 post requirement must be met during the contest for any additional posts or projects to count officially counts as 1 entry. (Project posts do count toward total) A total of 100 posts must be made DURING the contest.
5 welding projects, one in each category, choose a total of 5 out of 7. You may post more, but only 5 will be counted.
5 "shares" one per week maximum of blogs, or content from our social media sites. Each share will be counted as one entry.
Like or follow us on Facebook/twitter will be counted as one entry.

How to make official entry, and how to fulfill requirements:
    1) Enter here on this thread, by declaring you are entering the contest. State starting post count.
    2) By the end of the contest, revisit this thread and state that your ending post count, and post links to each project and summarize your "shares" and dates/items shared.

    Legal Stuff:

By entering this contest, the winning entrants agrees to keep and maintain the Everlast unit(s) purchased with the Green bucks and not to sell or otherwise divest the unit for a period of 2 years. Also, by entering, the entrant agrees to be used as a reference for up to two years and his/her promotion and their likeness and comments be used in any future promotional literature. Everlast may ask for the entrant’s honest, heartfelt comments about the “prize” unit after a period of time to be used in evaluation, product improvement and promotions. No actual cash compensation will be made to the contest winner. The winning entrant also agrees to hold Everlast harmless /blameless against any, death, injury, loss of time, or other damage or inconvenience while using an Everlast product or by entering this contest. Everlast is not responsible for paying any applicable state, federal or local taxes that may be incurred from the winnings of this promotion and the winning entrant agrees to assume any tax responsibility and shipping incurred. Odds of winning are dependent upon the actual number of qualified entries received by the deadline date and time. By entering this contest, the contestant acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions of this contest. Final determination of eligibility is conditioned upon meeting the above criteria and the decision rests with Everlast.
Contestants must be 1) Either in the continental US or Alaska OR 2) pay shipping costs and any duty or taxes due.

PLEASE KEEP THIS THREAD FOR ENTRIES ONLY. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, COMMENTS, DISCUSSIONS OR PROBLEMS, POST IN A SEPARATE THREAD THAT WILL BE OPENED OR PM ONE OF THE FORUM ADMINS OR MODERATORS. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS THREAD FOR GENERAL DISCUSSION. COMMENTS OR POSTS OUTSIDE OF THE ENTRY WILL LIKELY BE DELETED, AND THOSE POSTS WILL NOT BE COUNTED.

REMEMBER YOU MUST OFFICIALLY POST HERE FIRST TO STATE THAT YOU ARE ENTERING THE CONTEST ALONG WITH THE CURRENT POST COUNT. NOT READING OR FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS OF THIS CONTEST WILL VOID THE ENTRY.

EDIT: AS ALWAYS, PLEASE ADD AN AVATAR AND FILL IN YOUR SIGNATURE LINE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CONTEST. ALMOST ALL EXISTING MEMBERS HAVE THEM, BUT NEWCOMERS MAY NOT. PLEASE ADD THEM TO BE COUNTED IN THE CONTEST. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT HOW TO DO IT, JUST VISIT THE ABOVE MENTIONED THREAD, IN THE STICKIES OF THIS SECTION!

    Thanks all, and happy posting.

... so I'm in for 3. I actually had a new project in place and welded up, but it went south and I was not happy enough with it to share it here, so I'm going to tighten it up and share it later. (But I did get the 14 y.o. off the computer long enough to try MIG welding.)

Thanks again, Oleg and all the moderators! It's going to be a great Father's Day for three lucky guys in particular!

Is it OK to want to break something just so that you can weld it back together?
