Thread: New Customer

  1. Default New Customer

I had a Giantech POS that failed on its second cut. I got ZERO response from Giantech and found our that Everlast could possibly repair it. I sent it to Everlast and, to make a long story short, I bought a 50 amp Everlast cutter with the Giantech accepted as a trade in. Let me just say, that there is NO COMPARISON. I have been using the Everlast for a few weeks now and it is 100% better in function AND quality.

I'm a heavy-use hobbyist. I previously used snips, and cuttoff wheels for most of my metal cutting and suffered from Plasma Cutter envy. It was an investment that I thought I couldn't afford, which is why I ended up with an off-shore machine. I will definitely look at Everlast FIRST with any other welding machine aquisitions.

    Thanks!

    Ed

PS, no I don't work for Everlast. lol

There's a lot of options out there but I too think Everlast is a brand with a good rep and great customer service.

    Wow... That's customer service!!!

I will have to keep that in mind. (no not the trade in... ) That you like the plasma cutter... Was thinking of adding one to my collection. Still getting a TIG next but for the price I think I will pass on a combo machine and just pick up a cutter secondly.

    Welcome aboard Ed,

Not sure if Larry is still a one man show (or sold the name). I'd swear he would be retired actually by now, will have to see if there are Giant units on ebay. He does take a bashing on the Yahoo Chinese Welding forum for sure.

Well, glad you found us. Let us know if you have an troubles.

I am sure our repair guys will get your old one working right and make someone a deal

Far as the 3 in 1 units, the switching for me too, is a pain. And you lone it out or break it, you are out all your tools at the same time.

Do you do many repairs on non Everlast equipment???

I am the same on the combo unit. If it goes down you lost several tools... Like the combo printer units... If it goes down you lost most of your office equipment.

We used too 3-4 years ago. But once we had our own line, we focus on our products pretty much. But Oleg is always willing to help someone out.
