Local High School Students attending MM Robinson High School here in Burlington took first place for gold in the Robot Wars this past Weekend.

this Competition was held down in Georgia and the talent from all schools and paticipants is a credit to all involved

We are very proud to be a part of the Sponsorship program for these young Men and Women

All welding was done using the Everlast PowerTig 225LX Ac/DC Tig Welder

Congrats to the Kids. That was awesome. I'm glad to see Vo-tech is still alive in some places. Here in Charlotte NC its all about the banking baby.............. They took all trades save for two automotive programs (out of 35 or so High schools). It would be a joke if it wasn't so sad.

We have our Part time Help entering a Auto Competition in the Welding division this week, he was actually a Co-Op student with us last year . We do have a few High Schools that run more trades oriented programs with shop mainly consisting of Auto of course . For that Auto dept we donated a smaller PowerArc 160 sth , Mainly because Brett ( part time help ) kept complaining about the Welder they had ( lift tig ) and how he hated using it ,although he has no problems testing units with lift tig here.
MM Robinson High School has a number of Vocational programs for Trades orientated programs .
    Cheers

Congratulations and well done to MM Robinson! They can update this win to their Wikipedia page!

Just for curiosity, does Brett also do their welding? Or is it a team member?
