I was thinking about making something myself with a 47K slide or thumb-wheel potentiometer but they're hard to find in a small enough size in the 1-watt range.
There are quite a few manufactures making the rotary types and thumb-wheel ones but most are for the larger torch sizes which are quite bulky IMO.
I'd like to find something compatible with the smaller WP-20 torch like the ones from Uni-Mig or ParWeld.

i dont like thumb wheels used them hard to work with a welding glove. the flat one you push with your thumb but found need to move the lower arms back so not in the way when holding torch. also though maby a gear and and slide so wont have anything stick down under torch. tried hooking to regular pedal and have pull pedal down but spring in pedal is to strong

Any day on a motorcycle like this that ends just needing parts and labor is a good day.
