Thread: Picked up a 250ex last night

  1. Default Picked up a 250ex last night

Hey guys new to the forum and have only tig welded a couple times. I'v been wanting to buy one for a few months and finally bit the bullet. Started unboxing it and getting ready to wire it. But then I looked in the box that holds the regulator had a hole in it. When I opened it up the plastic part that that has the flow meter in it is crooked. It looks like it's cross threaded but I dont think they did that. I think it got hit and pushed to the side. Other than that everything looks nice and I cant wait to get it running, I was hoping to run it tomorrow.

Welcome aboard and great TIG choice...

I would send us a picture of the regulator if you are worried about it, before you use it. 3000PSI+ can hurt or kill. If you're in a hurry, Harbor Freight has a nice Clarke knock-off regulator (dig up a 20% off coupon). Then you are running, safe and get us to handle our regulator next week (today is Saturday, you might catch someone in the office, but if we have to ship it).

If you are just getting started, you will probably be glad you have a spare regulator around anyway.
