ID:	6286Well I got a 250EX recently and did some quick beads on Al, but this weekend came time to convince the wife that this purchase will "pay off" in time as a household repair of our "love seat" was in order. Two spring supports broke. I used my FR cover alls to prevent the place from possible burning down with an extinguisher and pails of water close by.

I left the cooler in the garage due to the lower current for this repair.I took the opportunity to strengthen the wooden sections with more bracing.

I hope the repair holds up. It's nice not to have my butt hit the floor now.

Agreed, but we always have to convince the better half sometimes...not always easy and they may not appreciate or realize the savings potential of DIY.

Let's see,,,about 2 grand invested and 2 springs repaired,,,,that works out to about $1,000.00 per spring,,,do a couplle of more springs and you get your unit cost down to $500.00 a spring,,,,the little woman will be impressed with those figures...LOL,,,I suggest you tell her you need the welder to keep your sanity and relieve tension from work....sounds more convincing than saving money on home repairs...
