    Default 200 dx pedal

Well I have sent an email to Oleg and to Ray and no response and so I guess I will post my question here. I got a 200dx last week and love the machine but not a fan of the pedal... I don't mind the actual pedal as much as the dumb amp adjustment knob on the pedal. So I am wondering if I switched to an ssc pedal could the amp adjustment be used on the machine or do you have to use a rheostat inline with the pedal? I really don't understand why they would make the adjustment on the pedal itself. I switch between many different metals and thicknesses and I really don't like having to guess on the pedal amp control. Also it seems to be really odd in the adjustment part. I would think halfway between zero and 200 amps would be 100 but its not even close. Anyone have any insight, it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

ps: I did search and posted on another thread and I didn't get any response so sorry if this has been covered already.

does yours 200 dx work with the pedal on 4t because i get got my new 200dx working out of the box and first thing my pedal dont work on 4t and the setting stay on 23 not happy

The Pedal can not be swapped out for a SCC and then controll from the Panel . The present SCC pedals do not work on this Machine .
The pedal supplied can be set fairly accurately by flipping the switch to Stick Function.
Now depress the pedal all the way down and adjust the pedal control to the amp setting you wish to use for max.
Keep in mind when you flip the switch back to Tig function the amps wil lbe of as the readout is only to 160amps in stick function , but with a bit of use you can soon learn the percentage difference from actual readout on tig.
    cheers

4t is not for use with a pedal. Switch the selector to 2t.

You will probably be best suited to download teh manual for the machine here: http://www.everlastgenerators.com/do...wertiggen2.pdf

and give it a read through to limit the amount of questions you have with the operation.

Additionally, there are numerous posts directly relating to the function of teh 200DX throughout this forum.

4T is "four touch". That is done with a finger on the torch trigger. It allows up and down slope, etc, via the finger rather than than using a foot pedal.

I agree with that. But I figured that when buying one of these machines, that you would have to upgrade the torch and pedal. That's what my buddies have been telling me. Great machine, but upgrade the torch and pedal.
