Oh that's a good idea. I was just going to use the tap, the pump and hose will not be metal i don't know if that will make difference.

I was told to use Plumbing Antifreeze. Works wells.

I'll use antifreeze of some type, something that is non reactive, when I build an actual cooler. My lady would flip if I even mentioned having a bucket of antifreeze sitting around, even if it had a lid the dog couldn't get into. lol
