Thread: I got my new PM205

  1. Default I got my new PM205

Well a week or so ago I ordered a everlast PM 205. I unpacked it got a plug and started setting up. So far I have only used the plasma cutter and this thing rips I have used other brand cutters and this is by far the best one yet. I'll keep this thread updated on the welder functions as soon as I figure them out haha(I was a lincoln guy).

these are kegs I cut the tops off of took less then 5mins to do both. AWSOME.....

Here is my first shot at welding stainless steel. They are 1/2" fittings in the side of a keg. Let me know what I can do to improve my skills. Thanks

    Nooch,

You need to get comortable and relax. It looks pretty good.

The weld looks fine, as Mark said relax and take your time. If you slow down you may need to back off the heat a tad. What are you making?

I home brew beer and I'm making a full 3 tier brew system. I have a few more to weld so I'll try slowing down and see how that works Thanks guys.

If the weld is going to contact consumable product make sure to properly clean the weld with a fresh stainless steel brush and passivate the area to ensure there are no harmful contaminates. A single speck of rust could ruin a batch of good brew and make some one very ill. Here is a link that may help. In the article they mention using a citric acid solution, this works well and you can purchase it online.
Hope this helps and good luck with the brew!
