This will make more sense when it's up. This is for a church; to hang fabric or curtain so you can have a backdrop on a stage. The pipe will fit inside volleyball poles they already have. The volleyball poles slide inside a base with wheels, and can be rolled around. The tube is 2x2-14gague so it's not too heavy. I drilled 1/4" holes every 2' for the eye bolts. I welded the nuts so the eye bolts can be removed. It's basicly a 20' curtain rod! The pipe is 1" schedule 40 with holes drilled to match the pre-existing holes on the volleyball net tubes. I'll hang it up tomorrow and post some more pictures. Not much too it. I used my Imig 200, drill, and cut-off saw.

How do you haul that 20' piece to the site? Nice project.

I would say it's the advantage of driving a $2,000.00 truck! This order came from a local machine shop that happened to have a good price; it was only 5 minutes from home. The picture below was from the closest steel supplier 30 miles away. I'm going to build a rack at some point, I'm trying to figure out how to do it! I don't want it to look too gaudy, and make it look like something that belongs on a 4x4.
