New guy from SC
Hey all,
I am just getting into welding and I am currently researching for my first welder purchase. I'd like to have a TIG machine with AC/DC capability, so the 200dx is looking like a strong contender. I'm a car nut, so it will mostly be used for light duty automotive fabrication. I just laid a new feeder line to the detached garage, so now I'm all set with a dedicated 240V circuit for the welder of my choice.
I don't have any real welding experience, only a few hours playing around on friends' welders and a brief week long course at the local community college. It served as a good introduction, but at this point I could really use a lot of hands-on practice.
Anyway, this looks like a good site with lots of information and I'm happy to see that Everlast representatives are very active on the forums.
