Thread: Question about warranty transfer:

  1. Default Question about warranty transfer:

    Quick question for you guys:

If someone bought lets say a 60 day old machine off of eBay, would it still be covered by Everlast's normal warranty?

Not sure how that would work and would hate to buy an almost new one off eBay, save some money, but then have a problem and have no warranty on it just because it was purchased on eBay

    Thoughts?

I have been following this thread because it is a good question... That has not had a reply yet...

That being said... Just to let you know Everlast does sell on ebay... And a heads up you may call Everlast and see if they have any used or refurbished machines in the style you are looking for... The price may be pretty close or better????

Even if you bought used locally I am curious about the warranty transfer myself.

I'm sure everlast would cover the machines they sell on eBay, but someone else has been selling quite a few PP256's for somewhere in the $1,200 range. The first one went for more like 1100 but the more recent ones have gone up a little higher

I almost seriously bid on one but was worried about the warranty. Would hate to get a lemon just by chance and not have any recourse.

Thanks--I presume that is to stop people from getting service on stolen welders?

It could also help in determining the original purchase date. Do Everlast welders have individual serial numbers?

Pretty certain they do. When I was looking on eBay at the PP256 you could see a number in one of the pictures but I couldn't quite make it out. Emailed seller and they wouldn't give it to me unless I won the auction. Haven't asked about original owners name, that might be a tuffy

Did you buy it? Kind of odd they wouldn't give you the S/N unless you bought it. Nice that the warranty is transferrable though.

Yes they do have individual serial numbers, but i think what oleg is getting at is the way they file the warranty info is by the purchasers name not the serial number. When I baught my 200dx, went on site to register and got confused, called CS and they stated if I baught it from EL then they allready have it registered.

Nah didn't end up buying it--the price was good, but was more than I wanted to spend. With the 25% discount (hopefully I can still get to 100 posts) and a 200DX, I'll be just fine and have less money in the setup.

I live in Greensboro--and yep went to NCSU.

Haha, I just bought a 4runner that I'm working on (had a broken flexplate) that I need to get up and going first

I had a Raptor 660 one time--now that thing was a beast. You barely needed to change gears--Just hit the gas and hang on at just about any RPM.

Also have a YZ426F for when I really want to be dangerous
