    Default Repeat Business!!!!

A few weeks ago I welded a large A-frame coupler on a double wide trailer home for a repo company. This guy takes them apart and moves the trailers after the bank has taken control of the home. He called me this past Thursday and I did another job for him, and I have another job in the morning. I've been using my Power Arc 200, my Northern Tool Powerhorse 7000 generator, 5lbs of welding rods, and 3 gallons of gas! It's a pain in the butt crawling under those houses to weld, but the good part is they have not been there all that long. All the welding is flat or overhead with a minimum of 3 passes all around. If there is a gap I will lay in several passes, and for sure chipping and brushing all the flux away. I passed my first job going over a bridge and that thing was bouncing like crazy. If I could do 1-2 each week that would be awesome.

Excellent news! With the economy still what it is, it is great to hear about people in these forums able to make a living doing what they love with the equipment they love. Hope you get a lot more repeat business!
Is it OK to want to break something just so that you can weld it back together?

That thing must have been a pain to drive when it was 10' longer! Also, your forum name is very fitting. haha

one thing i would suggest, is to not be afraid to say no to an offer of work. somethings it's just better to pass on. i did it today.

I would like a heavier duty truck, but right now my S10 Blazer and 5x8 Northern Tool trailer are getting the job done. I think some of the welding truck with nice beds are cool, but when I can upgrade I will get a small enclosed trailer. I throw everything into my tool box, but it would be nice to have some cabinets to organize everything.
