Thread: Hello Everyone

  1. Default Hello Everyone

Hi everyone my name is Josh, I live in socal were I go to school for welding and machining/cnc, I got some mill spec Tig certifications under my belt, I'm here because my roommate (also a welder and machinist) and I are looking to get a new Tig welder because we cant get a lot of arc time with all the budget cuts going on right now plus its now summer so we cant get back into the shop until September. so I'm taking a serious look at some of your Tig welders, i really like your Multi Process Units because i do alot of sheet metal work and would put the plasma cutter feature to good use, anyway I hope to learn more about your machines from surfing around the forum here.

    Hi Josh,

Welcome to the forum. Some very, very nice people here. A lot of wisdom and knowledge too. I'm looking for a welder at the moment too but it will take me a while before I get to the point where I can afford a multifunction. You are so lucky! I've been on this and some other forums for a while now and so far I've been impressed with Everlast. Take a look around. Cheers!
Is it OK to want to break something just so that you can weld it back together?

Josh welcome. I had the PP205 for a little over a year now and am very happy with it. Some people have said that switching between stick/tig/plasma is a hassel but it's not that bad.

Welcome Josh ... you'll find this is a great forum and everyone is eager to help with any inquiries you might have. The pool of knowledge here is phenomenal and if you are researching Everlast products it is the place to go I've been using blue and red for about a decade now doing stick, MIG, oxy/acetylene and DC tig I decided it was time to move into AC tig. After much research and justification of the expenditure I decided it was time and Friday ordered a new Powertig 200DX ... I'm really excited about the new addition to my shop and I'll let everyone know as things develop how it's going

Smart idea. Especially if you don't have your own machine yet.
