Thread: Snorkel and locked front and rear with ARB and 35 spline shafts in D44

  1. Default Snorkel and locked front and rear with ARB and 35 spline shafts in D44

I do not know why i do this because i am not really a big fan of Jeeps but this is the latest upgrade completed minus wiring the compressor switch for the rear Locker. I added the Snorkel just as a bit of a safeguard against too many deep water crossings that i seem to be in a bad habit of doing . The ARB Air actuated lockers are a nice feature and i prefer these to having a Detroit full time locked rear
And of course i will be pulling down the Nitto Muds to switch out for the tyres on there .

Cool. I always wanted a snorkel back in my river rat days. I was lucky enough to survive water lapping over the hood once, although the tranny wound up sucking in a whole bunch of Verde river.
Penncrest Buzzbox - Infinite amp control! Man the 70's were good.
Everlast Powerplasma 60 - Reliable unit, cuts well.
Everlast i-MIG 250P w/spoolgun - Really smooth, plenty of cajones.
Everlast 250EXT - Sometimes it just takes a kick in the balls...
Everlast 255EXT - Just started playing

Why 35 spline? It doesn't allow for much axle twist and can shock load the gears. I went with a 33 spline ARB in the rear, with Superior EVO axles, for the rea D44 and RCV 30 spline axles and an ARB in the front D44...
