I wanted a stand that was portable so I could break it down and transport it in my truck. The stand will be used for weighing (fish/pigs), cleaning (fish/pigs), lifting (outboard motors), and anything else that needs to be lifted. I was swinging on it so I know it holds at least 290 lbs. It’s made of 1.25” Sch 40 MS x 6” that was tacked using tig (120A) and finished using stick (95A). I would have liked to use tig for everything but I was running out of argon. I finished with stick and the welds will hold but they looked terrible and the pics show how bad they look even after grinding them down. I might add nuts to secure the legs and cross tube but it works as is. The top tube will be replaced by a 1” Sch 40 pipe.
