Default Change suggestions: attachment viewing priviledges & post viewing order

Great going on nurturing a new forum, Everlast.

    A couple forum suggestions:
    1. It would be nice if unregistered folks could view attachments. The registration process is kind of slow. Being able to view attachments would at least make it more bearable to wait around for the admin to approve registration.

    2. Also, I find the "newest posts on top / oldest on bottom" thread view to be backwards from what I am used to seeing on all other forums. Usually on other forums when opening a thread, I see the original post at the top on page 1, and the newest post at the bottom of the last page. How about altering it as a global setting, (unless for some reason most readers here prefer it that way)? Or perhaps allow users to change the setting individually. (I tried but could not find how to change this setting for my account.)

Looking forward to talking more and sharing tips and tricks learned via my Everlast Super200P!

I will checking the forum and see if there is a switch to allow it. I see no problem with that, but do not recall a switch for that. Registration is free as well.

The registration process is manual due to a large number of spam bots and spammers. We would rather have one person wait a few hours or a day, than have many registered users have to see the spam, and we still have to clean it up as well. That part will not change. If a customer has an urgent issue, they can call our toll free support lines.

    Yes,

The Super 200's are units not currently in production. But many people liked those old boxes. Although Mosfet, they did make a nice arc.

Thanks Mike, I found the way to change the thread view - "User CP" in the upper left corner (then "Edit Options", and "Thread Display Mode") for anyone else wondering.
