Thread: PP256 "32" in Display During Cool-Down?

  1. Default PP256 "32" in Display During Cool-Down?

I have a couple questions that I didn't see covered in the manual.

While plasma cutting, it appears that if you let go of the trigger you have to wait until the post-flow time has been used up before the arc will re-light. Is there any way around that?

During post-flow, the display changes to read "32" What is the significance of 32?

I think it's better on your consumable life to leave the air on all the time. Try that and see if there is any difference.

I understand the reason for the post-flow. But I don't seem to have the option to leave the air on full time. Cooldown air is set by the post-flow control which maxes out around 30 seconds after the arc quits. However if you need to make another cut during that time, you have to sit there until the post flow finishes before you can get a new arc. This is with the PowerPro 256, not a dedicated plasma torch, so your mileage might be different.
