Thread: AC/DC TIG Mosfet Foot Pedal

  1. Default AC/DC TIG Mosfet Foot Pedal

Hi everybody i'm having a bit of an issue with my Foot Pedal on ac/dc 250 tig it's one of the mosfet yellow machines

the foot pedal when ramping up on amperage works fine its just on the decel of that the belt slips on the cog and i have to stop

crank the cog back to zero and then i can weld again exept that i have to do this over and over .

I have adjusted the pedal for the cog and the belt to mesh at the same angles and the problem still exists . I would like to fix this

I even added more tension to spring and that didn't help either . The welder has been flawless other than this .

Would a new length of belt to replace the old fix it ? Or is it time for a new pedal ?

If a new pedal is the any that is a bit smaller than the normal big bulky box one this has the small maybe .500" 7 pin connector

any help would be appreciated .

    Thanks Jake
