Thread: Newb from Sudbury (Ontario)

    Default Newb from Sudbury (Ontario)

Firstly I am not a "welder" by trade but I can get by. Been around big rigs, and offroad stuff all my life, so I've had to weld to keep things going. Think I struck my first arc when I was about 8 years old.

As of late I have a slightly modified jeep and with most extreme abuse....there are extreme repairs. Hence my latest purchase the SuperCut 50. Now that I have a decently equipped garage with welders and cutters there isnt much that cant be fixed.

I learn something everyday and may ask a dumb question or 2, but hey, we all started somewhere right?

Been anxious to put my Plasma to good use and I think the first project set is a complete from scratch Boss Plow pushframe for a 98 Chev.

    Welcome NoJeep
You will really like the SC50. It is a great little machine. I use mine quite a bit. Send us some good off roading pictures and as always pictures of the breaks and repairs!

You will find the HF SC50 is a great little unit.

I second Wayne. Send before and after shots if you have time. We all like to see what is going on with others.

And with the words Ontario and Plow. I will assume heavy steel work.

    Hi Kerry
Good to see you found your way here. I am looking forward to seeimg some of your projects myself.
now that Winter is really here i guess i need to find some time to get some stuff done on my Landy. You never know i might even get a chance to get up to your neck of the woods this summer for some of those trails i keep hearing about on the Sudbury Site.

    Cheers

Nice to have here. Nothing like having good tools to make your job easier and look professional. I was in my 20's before I first had a chance to weld. All the best.
