Come on Winky... Look at my Avatar!!!!

Reminds me of a good friend telling me... We were in our 20s.... Of all the things we did and the trouble we could have gotten into, we never got hurt. (at least not too bad) His younger brother was a really good kid and never got into trouble, and he passes away from cancer in his mid teens.
Yeah. I learned pretty quickly after joining this forum that Brian was a pretty wild child .... ! LOL
Is it OK to want to break something just so that you can weld it back together?

My Dad is from Indiana. When we went that way for vacation each year as a kid, back then it was all about steam engines and canons (a long time ago). Probably not so much now. Was cool as a kid. Wonder how many are hidden in barns up that way.

I have always liked your avatar ... Gasoline? Oh I have stories about that too not as scary as discovering that lead azide and sodium nitrate are things you don't mess with EVER ... at 10 I learned the phrase "never again".

It always surprised me that he didn't get pulled over more often when he was hauling it to our campouts.
I've made many of these little canons from old worn out rifle and pistol barrels seldom do I ever pack a wad with black powder and touch them off. Like I said before they are really just to sit on a shelf and be looked at ... I've been thinking about making a large smooth barrel replica to anchor into concrete in my front yard as yard art but I don't think I'll drill the fuse hole all the way through just so the police wont take issue ... on the otherhand it would be fun to take a working version out to the desert and throwing a few 6 pounders around ... uh ... maybe not.
