Ok. The problem we see with hard starting can be attributed to the helium. Really don't like to see that much helium used, if at all because it gives the arc fits at start, and the helium and argon segregate and provide poor coverage at times. But that does not explain no power. As I said, we'll do something as quick as possible. Oleg and Ray are aware. Going to get an answer tomorrow, since it was late today.

I understand the hard start with the helium mix. Its just another bottle that I had in the shop to try. Ray left a message asking me to try the stick function of the machine, said it bypasses something and that should let us know if the inverter is good or not. Just got home and went out to the shop and tried that as well, the unit is not putting out any power. I called and left a message back with Ray.

I was hoping to have all this behind me by now, just got the machine back Tuesday, box looked alittle rough opened the box UPS has broke the front bezel and pushed back the connections for the ground and torch. Checked to see if anything was grounded out, didnt see anything pulled the panel back out. Put power to the machine, powered up fine, ran for about 30-45 seconds then a loud pop, trips the breaker in the breaker box. Called Ray he instructed me to pull the cover and check the nylon spacers that hold the heat sinks in place all are in place and make sure nothing is shorted or broken. Cannot see any shorts or burnt circuitry or burnt electrical components or burnt smell nothing broken. He said put power back on the machine, powers up fine display OK seems to be working, BUT has no output only the HF . Will not pull any arc when in stick function either. I have become very frustrated at this point Ive been dealing with trying to get my welder back in action for almost 12 wks now. I really really need to get this worked out Im getting really backed up with personal projects along with customer work.
