I had a good friend that passed away several years ago he was a pattern maker by trade,( Several Years as one in the navy and while on ship he said he did pattern and foundry work as needed and when needed. His wife said he wanted me to have all of his pattern tools as he new i would use them and take car of them.I found this in one of the small drawers in the top box with some other pencils. He evidently needed to mark things in some hard to reach places. He made a pretty clean 45 deg cut and glued it with wood glue. Probably made it in the early 50's. Kind of interesting what the old timers did to get a job done.Click image for larger version.
